العمّة زيّون و شجرة الزّيتون - Aunt Zayoun and the Olive Tree

في الضيعة الصغيرة جبل صغير تعيش عليه شجرة زيتون وفيه كوخ صغير تعيش فيه امرأة عجوز, عمر الشجرة ثلاثمائة عام وعمر السيدة العجوز أكثر من مائة عام تعرف الشجرة أسرار أبناء وآباء وأجداد هذه الضيعة كما تعرفها أيضا السيدة العجوز, الاسرار اتلي لا يعرفها أحد غيرهما, الشجرة صامدة ولا تطلب الكثير, وكذلك العجوز الطيبة

قصّة لطيفة تقارن بين العمّة زينون، العجوز المحبوبة التي تسكن وحدها في كوخٍ بسيط، أعلى التلّ. وبين شجرة زيتون هرمة، يلعب تحتها الأولاد، ويقطف من غلالها الكبار. إنّها الحياة، كما الإنسان عنده كرم ومحبّة، كذلك الشجر عنده عطاء.

In the little village, there is a small mountain where an olive tree lives, and there is a small cottage where an old woman resides. The tree is three hundred years old, and the elderly lady is over a hundred years old. The tree knows the secrets of the children, parents, and ancestors of this village, just as the old lady does. These secrets are known only to them. The tree stands strong and doesn't ask for much, just like the kind old lady.

A heartwarming tale draws a comparison between Aunt Zaynun, the beloved elderly woman, with the ancient olive tree where children play and adults gather its fruits. It's a reflection of life, showing that just as humans possess kindness and love, the tree also embodies generosity.
